Down here in Matagorda we have had some great days till about a week ago when a High Pressure system sat right over the top of us. Up to this point we was hammering the trout on Top Waters early and plastics later during the day. The high pressure system has caused breezy winds and has made the bays here off color in most areas and spotty in other areas that are even protected from the wind. When the water is off colored we are using live shrimp under a Inticer popping cork by midcoast products and picking a few trout and reds up on long drifts. Also the new Fishbites Jerk shads have been the ticket as well on picking up fish. Looks like the High Pressure system will move off of us later in the week and the fishing should get better down here. Till next time, be safe out on the water and take care.
