Why choose Cedar Lake Lodge?
Wow although not a hard question to answer it would take up a book to do so....but I'll try.
Most of you come up for the fishing...well Cedar Lake boosts some of the best. It is a true trophy class Muskie fishery with a 54" minimum possession...you can not get ant better than that!! Cedar Lake has always been know for it's walleye fishery for both quantity and quality with numerous 30" plus walleye caught each year. It has a great smallmouth population of which a TV show will be airing shortly!! If you like pan fish you can't beat the perch. And to top it off there are always the Northern Pike to chase on this pristine watershed. Cedar Lake is approx 19 miles long, very narrow so you can always get out and fish no matter what the weather does. Cedar Lake is connected to Perrault Lake, Davenport, Spadina, Church and St Clair lake. It totals approx 15,000 acres can be accessed without a portage.
Kim and I purchased Cedar Lake Lodge in 1997. Cedar Lake Lodge was built prior to any other Lodges and prior to the existence of any roads in this area. We are still located in what is called unsurveyed territory. When it was built in the early 30's the only way to it was by way of 6 other lakes with a portage between each one. Quite a feat now a day!
In the ten years we've owned Cedar Lake Lodge we've had our challenges. Not only did we have to rebuild everything from cabins to docks, we also had to get the people to come and experience the uniqueness of it. Cedar Lake Lodge is truly one of a kind!!
We are located on a 100 acre island just minutes from the mainland by boat and just far enough away from it all to experience the true North experience.
Whether you choose a log cabin built in the 30's or a new cabin built in the 00's we're sure you will be happy with either one. All have great views of the lake, private decks, kitchens, bathrooms and most of the amenities of home.
There is much more please review our great website at www.sportfishin.com.
Kim and I are there as well to give you that personal touch!!! Not only do we know our Lodge but we understand and personally fish our great watershed whenever possible. We would be very happy to pass on our knowledge, techniques etc just for the asking.
There is way to prove all we've said other than if you reserve your spot now for the upcoming season and put us to the test!!
If you're looking for a great vacation whether it is fishing or just relaxing check us out at www.sportfishin.com
We are located 150 miles north of International Falls on Cedar Lake. Our 100 acre island resort gets you far away from it all. We're just a short 1 mile trip from the mainland.
