There's no lack of Redfish in and around the St. Johns River and at the inlet.

They can be targeted with either very light tackle, or we can "go-deep" with heavier tackle for the big Brutes that follow the rivers channel edges

Live shrimp is that is needed for light tackle fishing the Mayport Jetty Rocks.

And outside the inlet, toss a cast net and catch some Pogies for the big boys, on a 7/0 circle hook, use the required weight to get on down, and if you have a good pushing tide....GAME ON!

Not talking about 27 inch Reds, but rather 27 pounders and up.

Outside the inlet as of June 1st. Shrimping season is open and in full swing. And it could be time to run and gun behind the shrimp boats for anything from King Mackerel to 100 pound Blacktip & Spinner Sharks

The sharks are not for the faint of heart. So please be ready. And have your game face on.

It's HOT, humid and the battles can be long.

CALL ME......don't email. Just CALL to get your dates. With the Gulf of Mexico being under siege, many people are heading to the Atlantic Florida Coast, and days are booking FAST.

I'm sick over what's going on there, as everyone else is. But I am trying my best to all that inquire out on the dates they are looking for.

Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Ponta Vedra Beach, Fernandina beach, Amelia Island, can be a prime destination. And as a full-time fishing guide 7 days a week, I'm here to serve your inshore light tackle fishing fever.

Let's go.....
