Each year at this time, Bluefish show up for some kind of odd ritual in the warm shallows. They divide up into small packs and swim lazily around "daisy chaining like Tarpon. They don't feed aggressively and don't behave like you would typically expect bluefish.

However when angered by a splashing popper, they come alive and strike with a vengance! Shallow water adds to the thrill of it all by making the fish leap and make long runs taking line all the way into the backing.

We have dates available to chase these fish, but this window of opportunity closes shortly as the fish move offshore.
