As the season winds down fishing was a little tough. The number of fry in the lake dramaticly slowed the bite. Trophy team member Brett Graham and his group of 6 reported 50 to 60 fish a day with a 9 and a half pounder being the largest. Hottest baits were deep cranks and carolina rigged lizards.

Camp manager George Felix phoned in and reported the fishing has improved with the onset of the rainy season. He reports good numbers of 5 to 9 pound fish coming on a variety of baits. The topwater bite has been strong along with medium cranks producing as well. It seems as the storms roll in the fish start to move shallow during the middle of the day. Even though the lodge is closed during the summer because of the excessive rain and heat the fishing can still be absolutely fantastic.

My reports will be sporadic throughout the summer months as information slows. I am offering a SUPER SEPTEMBER Special at Beautiful Trophy Bass Lodge on Lake Huites at $899.95 USD. This is an all-inclusive package (except airfare) that is a truly remarkable value. Give me a call today and lets go fishin!!!!
