OK, here we go. Fishing the Git Lit over the weekend in the Miami Billfish Tournament we had some great things happen and some bad things happen. First off Boat Problems existed again and held us back on day 2 and day 3. We fished several hours each day on one engine since our electronic shifting wants to work some times and not some times. It is being fixed now with a couple of days off. Day one began slow for us with boats all around us catching fish. Then the storms came through and lightening struck both kites and broke off everything, crazy right!

We did manage to catch one fish on a very slow day, top boat only had 5 fish. Now, Day two we came storming back with a second place daily and 6 fish to climb back into the hunt, even though we had engine troubles for much of the day. Peter and Kit went 6 for six in ideal conditions. The fish were eating mostly Sardines this day, and caught in 100 to 140 ft. off Triumph Reef. Now, going into the final day we were pretty up beat and feeling a come back was in the callings. We started off down by Triumph Reef were we left off the day before but the conditions had become terrible. No current and plenty of grass, Not Good. So we ran back to the north where we saw a couple of free jumpers on the way south that morning. Great Move, As soon as we stopped we saw another free jumper and jumped in front of it and got the bite. Ran back and got another to jump into the lead for the daily. Two more shots that day gave us a shot at the lead but they did not work out. No bodys fault but they jumped off. So the Git Lit got the 4th place finish and some money for daily's, second on day two and first on day three morning half and second over all for that day. Good news 4th place now gives us a 2nd, 3rd and now a 4th to go along with the 3 wins for the year.

Fishing today the conditions were good and the sailfish were biting. Great action right in front of Fowey in 140 ft. Some Dolphin also are showing up. Over the weekend we caught some each day. I think the Tuna and Dolphin fishing is going to get better as the winds blows hard from the east for a few days more. Tight Lines and great fishing
