Sal Mattino

It's 6AM on a weekday morning heading out the St.Lucie Inlet full with anticipation of the days catch ahead of us. First stop as always is the one mile bouy, straight out the Inlet to fill up with several dozen live baits. This particular morning we fill up with cigar minnows.

After filling the live well with several dozen baits, we head toward a spot approximately 10-11 miles off shore, depending on the GPS numbers you have. This spot usually produces some action of Boneheads better known as Bonito or little Tuny.

On this day we picked up a nice female Dolphin or some know them as a Cow. Weighed in about 15 pounds. We let her stay in the water a short while to see if another would appear, but to no avail! after picking up the Dolphin we stopped to do some bottom fishing which yeilded a few Keeper size Mutton snapper. That's my report from St. Lucie Sportfishing Charters, I am Captain Sal,Boat safe & fish hard! You can contact us at www.profishingcharters.com or 772-971-7104.
