Redfish are making their presence known but have been a bit spooky with the holiday weekend passing. Watch for schooled up fish in the Lagoon unspooked unless you happen to run by them lifting em up. Be sure and know an area they have been and pole around until you locate where the school is layed up. Cut mullet chunks tossed in the sand holes has worked well along with pigfish.

Tarpon are showing up like clockwork in the open bays of the Lagoon rolling during the early morning hours. These tricky fish will eat with the right presentation. Most are in the 20-40 pound class with a few larger one's mixed in. Off the beach out of Ponce Inlet they are crashing the pogies very close to the breakers with alot of fish well over the 100 pound mark.

Trout fishing is on fire as the pigfish season is in full swing. Try areas along drop offs in 1-4 feet of water with plenty of mullet present. I've posted trout this past week with my clients between 5 and 9 pounds with a ton of smaller slot fish in the mix.

Blues, jacks and ladyfish are in big numbers just before sunrise all throughout the ICW and are a blast to catch on topwater lures.

Black drum are in huge numbers this year but are spooky. If you happen to get on em with no other boats around you've hit the jackpot!! Find the schools and stay put letting them come to you. Most of these fighters of a fish are in the 5-10 pound range....perfect on light tackle!

As always feel free to call me with any questions and I hope to see you all on the water.
