North Carolina inshore fishing has been off caused by the hot water temperatures.

The last week the red drum bite has been picking back up with red drum being caught just before the high tide and the start of the falling tide.

The Bald Head Island area including Buzzard Bay and the creeks behind Bald Head Island are one of North Carolina's treasures as far a Capt.Mike Dennis is concerned he ranks this area as one of the most beautiful places to fish, with lots of red drum and flounder.

Light tackle spinning gear, the carolina rig,and live bait is the key to Cape Fear Guides success with the red drum.
