I was able to get out this morning with ChuckA, We met at my boat at 4am and took a ride out to the harbor. It was slack tide so getting bunker was alittle rough. I had some from the night before so we used that. The action was slow to start but once the tide got moving the bite was on. Chuck hit the first keeper of his life. It was just over 30 inches. But to me that wasnt big enough. about 20 mins later he had another run, set the hook and all I heard was line ripping off the reel. Chuck said with a big smile on his face "This is a good fish" . It was a good fish. 40 inches 26-27 lbs. A nice fat fish. We kept at it landing some blues and short stripers and Then some bigger bass move thru. At one point 3 rods were hooked up. 1 with a blue, one with a 36 inch fat striper and mine with a 38 inch fat striper. We decided to call it quits but before we went in Chuck want to see how to set agill net. So I went step by step with him on how to set a net with the tide and pull and empty it.

It was a great morning with some great fishing.
