Is this wind ever gonna quit? This seems to be my everyday question before charters begin. Even though the weather is warm and the fishing is great, it seems to be an ongoing battle with the wind. But, never mind that the redfish bite is getting hot around the bulk head at the mouth of the Manatee River in Bradenton, Fl. Recent clients of mine have been catching "fat" 27-32 inch reds on a very consistent basis. These fatties have been bruisers weighing up to 10 lbs or more on most occasions and putting up great fights. The very best time for catching these reds seems to be about 1 to 2 hours before sunset. Also early in the morning with a high tide, we are spotting nice snook up against the mangroves. For those iinterested in some good redfish/snook action or a tarpon trip give me hollar and let's go get em!

Keep your rod tip up!
