August the 10th with Greg Archambault and his son Phillip we left the dock just before dawn headed to one of my favorite Trout spot's. Float rigs and live shrimp usually are the ticket.
The only thing wrong was we could not get a shrimp in the water hardly before we had a 3lb Jack or a nice Mangrove Snapper. It was a blast for the first 2 hours. I think the corks went down every drift…
We had an hour or so left when that bite stopped so we headed to the creeks to try the Red fish. Throwing mud minnows under small corks along the grass was the plan.
The first spot wasn't producing so we made a short move and it was non stop Red fish for about 45 minutes. It was almost like the float fishing that morning. It sure makes my job easy when the fish are chewing!!!
Thanks for a great time Greg and Phillip, hope to see you next year.
