Yesterday's conditions were horrible to be on the surf. Three days of straight west wind flattened out the ocean and the crabs moved in to feast on the clam balls. Today the weather(lying) channel had it right! Northeast winds 10-15 mph. 10 ounces was barely holding but that's not what you want in these conditions. 8 ounces with a slow roll to the South produced the fish. I fished three hours and caught 7 Striped Bass just North of the Judges Shack. When I pulled on the beach it looked like A mini Bass blitz was ending. Avas with bright yellow tails were producing. By the time I got a spot on the packed beach it was over. All Stripers were short and released. By the way, the girlfriend put on the waders and sat in the truck, tooo cold for her.
