On a recent trip to my favorite local lake, Uvas Dam I found out the bass are still biting.

As you may know from reading my past posts, Uvas Dam is one of my favorite local lakes to fish in the Summer. Well it seems the Fall pattern may be just about figured out as well, only a few more trips for me will make it for sure. The water is very dirty and pretty low nut its about the level I was slamming them on over the summer so not too low, but really stained. I believe this is because Uvas is a small lake and that last big storm really poured the water in high amounts.

Try using worms and Senkos in the darker color as the water color is stained. Drag Swimsenkos on deeper areas and like usual at Uvas, there wont be a lot of bites but the ones you get will be big, Uvas is full of Bass in the 4 to 5 pound range. Fish slow and hold on.

Good luck, happy fishing and don't forget, take a kid fishing so you don't have to fish for them !!
