This last weeks fishing has proven productive for dolphin in the 5# to 15# class east of Ft Pierce inlet and on down towards St. Lucie Inlet. The depth has varied as water temp and color has changed from day to day.

We've caught schoolies on in to 55' of water when the water was clear in there and then found larger models out to 180' on significant tide lines and color changes. Sorry, havn't seen anything over 20 lbs in a while.

We're still trolling dead bait (ballyhoo) although we'll probably be switching to live bait sometime soon.

A nice heavy Redtail Hawk or other appropriate feather is always a good bet for casting under the manta rays for the finest of Florida's seafood offering. Let's hope that the rays stay around a while longer and the cobia bite continues to fill a frying pan or two!

A late season sailfish bite has materialized most days this last week with at least a couple sails caught between Ft. Pierce and Salerno. No real congregations apparent with fish showin in 70' out to 180'. Right place at the right time is the key to this maneuver. Good luck maties. Capt. Tris
