The fishing has been real good the last week or so as the wind has slowed down and most areas are starting to clean up again. The water level has not varied much as the daily rains are keeping the farmers fields wet enough that they aren't pumping water out of the lake. Areas to try are the main channel from Clewiston to the water tank, the rim canal both north and south of Clewiston and the dynamite holes south of Clewiston. Some baits that are working for me and my clients are of course wild shiners and Spro Aruka Shads in gold shiner color, Gambler Ace in bluegrass and watermelon-red color and Gambler Super Stud in watermelon-red color. Fish the Ace and Super Stud weightless if possible and as slow as you can. The ramps at Clewiston are fixed and the channel to the locks has been dredged. The bluegill fishing has also been good around and out the bare beach channel with crickets being the bait of choice. Tight lines and see you on the lake.
