Well...it was day two with Denny, Jim and Jim Jr. I've had some really good trips with Denny and his brother Don over the years, however Don could not make this trip so Denny brought a couple of friends. We had a very, very, very tough day yesterday, only landing two keepers. Today we definitely redeemed ourselves, however, it did take some time to find the fish. We started out the day trolling bottom bouncers and harnesses in the Kipling area. We landed one nice walleye and a couple of undersized fish. We then moved south to our weedline we've been doing so well over the past few weeks. Here we landed one more keeper and a couple of undersized fish while casting jigs/crawlers. By noon it was flat calm, hot, and we decided to go look around a bit. Well...it paid off. We found a school of fish three feet thick for about a 1/4 mile and between 12:30 and 2 p.m. we could not keep all of our lines in the water. Many times we had fish on three or more poles at once. Lots of undersized fish were released, and we lost some nice fish too, but we had no problem finishing out our 20 fish limit! It was a lot of fun on a day where I think they were starting to think the fish weren't going to cooperate again. Walleyes Choice harnesses were the ticket!!! Here's a picture of today's catch, good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
