Overall Catch Success Rate 100%
BILLFISH: It's been a while since we had a 100% success rate, everyone caught at least one fish and everyone came back with a happy face. We didn't see any blues this week but we had multiple hookups lots of Sailfish and Striped Marlin, but tuna was the most caught fish.
We had some great catches like Rebecca on the 16th, with 4 striped marlin released for Dave Davee and Dante Newell from Las Vegas and Ron Bernards from Valencia CA, the same day Adriana released 3 stripeys and landed 3 Dorados for David & Jake Pincus from Bellaire, TX, Tracy Ann released also 3 striped marlin for Chris Pinnell &Leslie Sttudarel from Hulto TX.
On August 17thm Ruthless released 3 Striped marlin and landed 7 yellow fin tuna and 2 dorados for the Archer Family from Parker TX.
On the 20th, Valerie released 2 Pacific Sailfish and 1 striped marlin for Tiffany, Nathan, Nolan & Cooper Roberts from Dallas Texas and their friends Frank & Elaine Schnoar from Napled Florida.
Also on the 20th, the Bandito rleased 2 sailfish, and decided to try some small game and released 8 skip jacks, and laned a 20lbs dorado and a 30 lbs wahoo, a perfect dinner for David & Alvinette VanAmburg from Washington and John & Tamar Arslania from Philly.
A total of 41 billfish were caught and all but one were released.
OTHER SPEICES: Awesome week for the tuna lovers, with 58% of the boats coming back with white flags flying.
Great tuna catches, on the 18th Rebecca caught 19 tunas between 15-30lbs for the Grindstaff Family from Houston Texas, the same day Bill Collector landed 10 of them between 20-45lbs for Rick Rhodos, from Lexington TX.
The biggest tuna this week goes for the Falcon, caught 4 of them right outside San Jaime bank for John Madden from Monthville New Jersey, the tunas were 20-35 lbs and the biggest one was 90lbs, lots of sashimi there folks.
Dorado was a bit slower with only 39% of the boats catching them, however, we only caught one or two per boat, hopefully it will get better.
Inshore fishing is hot right now for red snapper mostly, on the San Jose area.
