The Trophy Bass on the St Johns River are still shallow and spawning.

The numbers of fish dropped this week but the big fish are still eating.

The artificial bite is getting better everyday with the numbers of fish

still holding strong. The shiner bite on the other hand is a little off pace

but the average size is still very good.Big shallow flats off the main river

channel are still holding fish as the spawn is still taking place.

Main river points and shellbeds are holding good numbers of fish that are

busting shad.A Bitters Skip Shad or C.Rig along with a small topwater

prop bait with catch these schooling fish early and late in the day.

I had a lady client today from WV that was on the first fishing trip of her

life and the Bass Challenger Logo(Catch A Memory} was what happened

on the first fish of the morning.Mrs Reed's first shiner that hit the water

produced a beautiful 9.8 pound fish.I still have days open in March and April

so if you are looking for that Trophy Bass of a lifetime please give me a call
