To my surprise the BASS are feeding in this cold water.Never have I seen the Bass this active in 40 degree water temps. They are biting artificial baits and the quality is very good.I fished a tournament on Lake Monroe Friday with my good friend Hank G. Hank and I were both surprised to bring 5 bass weighing 15.93 pounds to the scale.I am thinking that these Florida Bass are getting winterized with all the cold weather we are having. They were even calling for snow here in Orlando FL today. We spent the day fishing deepwater ledges in the main river channel. Most fish were caught on hard jerk baits and crank baits. These FL Bass are ready to spawn and as soon as the water temps get back to the mid 60's it's going to be crazy. For the first time in 5 years the water is high enough to get into a lot of great spawning areas on the St Johns River and I fully expect 2010 will be one of the best years we have ever had for catching Trophy Bass On The St Johns River.2009 ended with my clients catching 44 Bass weighing between 10 and 13 pounds and 125 bass between 8 and 9.99 pounds.I want to thank all of my Bass Challenger Guide Clients For Another Great Year Of Bass Fishing Thanks From Capt Ed Bussard and Bass Challenger Guide Service Guiding Clients To Trophy Bass In Central Florida For Over 30 Years. office 407-273-8045 cell 321-377-2013 www.basschallenger.com
