The early morning Trout bite is red hot.We have been catching plenty of keeper Trout the past week on both artificial baits and live Pigfish. The best topwater baits have been Chug Bugs and the 3.25 High Roller. Grass Flats with 2 to 3 ft of water and plenty of sand holes seem to be the key.Clean water seems to help but we have been catching some nice Trout in the off color water as well.I spent Tuesday night fishing the Edgewater area lighted docks and caught plenty of Trout and a couple nice Snook.Pitching a Large Live Shrimp around the lighted docks was the ticket to steady action during the incoming tide. The Redfishing has been on and off the past few days.Seems that one day the Redfish will eat anything you offer them and the next day they will turn their nose up at everything you offer them.On the days we have had a good breeze a gold spoon in hard to beat and on the calm days a Bitters Skip Shad in the New Penny FireTail Color is working best.We have also been catching a few Redfish on cut mullet fished in the sand holes.
