Eddie Bussard

Its been another crazy week of Bass Fishing here in Central Florida. We have been dealing with WIND/ RAIN/COLD AIR TEMPS AND COLD WATER TEMPS.

I had a great group of guys coming in from KY for two days of bass fishing which

was supposed to be and artificial trip I called in Capt Steve Boyd to help me on this trip as there was supposed to be 4 clients but one guy didn't make the trip so I guided Pastor Mike and Paul in my boat and Steve had Scottie in his boat for the two full days.Day one was as bad as it gets with my boat not catching a single fish.Steve and Scottie catching two.OK time to regroup and make things happen so it was Shiner Fishing for the second and final day. What a difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We fished three areas yesterday and caught two fish between two boats,Today

we went right back to those same three areas with Large Wild Shiners and between

the two boats we caught some very nice fish up to 10.8 pounds and many 4 and 5

pounders.Eighty Percent of my clients are repeat clients and know after fishing with me in past years that I am usually on a decent bunch of fish through the winter months. But this was the first time that Mike, Paul and Scottie had hired my services

and I am sure yesterday they we thinking they had made a mistake.I told them time

after time yesterday that the fish were in the areas we were fishing but the water temp and weather change had shut the fish down.I don't know if they believed me yesterday but today they seen that I was telling the truth and that Large Wild Shiners

can make all the difference in the world on a cold winter day here in Central Florida.

My client Paul is having a replica mount done of his 10.8 pound St Johns River Trophy and should be having two replicas done as he lost a bigger fish at the boat

Sorry Paul but I just had to add that in somewhere.

This great group of guys will be coming back down in April to enjoy some of our

warm weather and get in on some of the best artificial Bass Fishing Florida has to offer right here on the St Johns River.
