The St Johns River is RED HOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its summertime and its TROPHY BASS FISHING TIME here on the St Johns River. What makes the difference between Lake Toho Lake Jackson and the Butler Chain for summertime Trophy Bass. These Lakes have no natural currents which means the water temps are much hotter in these lakes then the St Johns River and that is why we catch Trophy Bass year round here on the St Johns River
The past two weeks have been unreal with one Trophy Bass after another and take your pick as far as Wild Shiners or Artificial Baits.
Last week I had a five Bass limit in the Bass Champions Seniors Tour Classic that weighed 32 pounds. That is over a 6 pound average.I caught over 20 fish during this day Flipping a Bitters Bait and Tackle Bat with a 1 0z Bitters Flipping Weight.Bob and Connie from South FL had a great trip with the two biggest weighing 10.8 and 8.8
in just 4 hrs of fishing
This week has been the same.My client James Barker
of MI had the trip of a lifetime catching two 5 Bass limits weighing over 25 pounds flipping a Bitters Bat in main river padfields south of Lake Monroe on the St Johns River.Today my client Capt Ron of LA had a great 6 hr trip flipping the Bitters Bat. Best five hitting the 23 to 25 pound mark with a total of 15 fish being caught
