If you are remotely near the Tampa area this weekend you need to visits the Tampa Tribune Outdoor Expo at the State Fairgrounds. Captain Steven will be there Friday March 5 working with the great people from the Snook Foundation. Stop by and see them at booths 225-227.
The line up of guest speakers is outstanding! Even as a Professional Captain I learn from these seminars. Besides becoming a better angler they are lots of fun. Inshore, Offshore, night fishing its all there. Aisle after aisle of boats, tackle, apparel its mind boggling. My good friends Joe and Jeremy from NaCI H2O Salt Water Sports Apparel will be there with some amazing graphic shirts. If you are crazy about cool designs like Captain Steven you have to check out the latest designs.
The event runs March 5-7 and is a must see for all sportsman.
After Monday's nice day the only sure thing Tuesday and Wednesday were cancellations. Great news the forecast is for 60's on the weekend and 70's all next week. I read a very positive report from Captain C J Stewart who has been catching snook and redfish along with trout the last week.
The prolonged period of cold water should rapidly come to an end. Longer day's means more sunlight combined with mild evenings in the 60's will quickly warm Tampa Bay's shallow waters. Look for the bait to return and watch the bite heat up!
If you don't have your gear ready or your charters booked you need to act now!
