The Snook and Tarpon have really keyed in on the schools of bait near docks and sea walls. Early morning and late afternoon provides the best action for anglers. Pier fishing also another areas for anglers to tango with the linesiders
The Jacks have been abundant near drop offs and local bridges. Live baits work great along with lures and jigs. The Jacks have provided great action for those anglers who prefer to fly fish, providing anglers with a bite almost every cast.. The Jacks are schooled up and once located can be coaxed close to the boat with a little chumming.
The Sheepshead and Mangrove Snapper fishing is great near the bridges and dock pilings for those looking for a tasty meal. Live shrimp work great for the Sheepshead and the Snapper.
Fresh water the peacock bass are teaming in local canals striking DOA shrimp and live shiners. The peacocks are averaging 2 to 4 pounds and can be sight fished. Fly fishing for the peacocks has been great as anglers can watch the peacocks explode on the fly.
