The inshore fishing this past week has been fantastic, great top water bite for Snook and Tarpon. The weather has been great and south Florida lots of sunshine few days a light rain but typical fun in the Sun.

The snook fishing has been fantastic around docks, Sewalls, and mangroves shorelines. Snook have been striking Rapala skitter walks, making for great explosive top water action strikes. The bigger snook have been lurking in the shallows while docks have been holding schools of snook making for great rod bending action.

The tarpon bite has been great on the first of the incoming and last of the outgoing tide in backwater bays and canals. The tarpon can be seen rolling on the surface, DOA BaitBuster and live mullet have worked great creating strikes. The deeper canals and passes have been holding the bigger Tarpon the bite should get better and better as the warm weather continues.

The grass flats have been holding plenty of croaker, drum, jacks, blue fish, ladyfish and many other species to get the rod bent. These areas are great to take kids and novice anglers to get them warmed up for the highly prized game fish.

The freshwater action has been great for sunshine bass, peacock bass, largemouth bass, and clown knife fish. The channel edges, docks, bridges, and seawalls all great areas to locate these species. Rapala crankbaits and live baits have been the choice baits.

Well that is the fishing report for the past week. Hope you all enjoyed, remember you can catch them from the couch, So get out there and get hooked up. Tight lines!
