Jupiter, Florida - Saltwater Fishing Report
Palm beach, Jupiter, ICW, lake worth lagoon

Rain, wind , cool at times describes last weeks weather. Fishing was consistent dealing with the elements was the hard part.

Snook continue to gather in the back bays and along mangrove and dock edges. Live baits and DOA C.A.L. 3” shad tail have the tactics used to get the rod bent. Snook season has reopened, night time anglers fly fishing experience great sight fishing excitement as angler watch the strike happen.

Tarpon are abundant in the back bays and canals mixed in with the snook, the bigger fish can be found on channels edges and near inlets. Live bait free lines with the tide great method but for artificial enthusiasts DOA Terror Eyz and DOA Baitbuster great lures to entice the silver king to eat. Tarpon have been ranging in size form 5 to 25 pounds in the back country and channels and inlets are producing 30 to 70 pound range.

The grass flats and channels are offering great numbers of jacks, snapper, bluefish, mackerel and sharks. Live bait and DOA Lires bait of choice.

Freshwater action the largemouth bass has been great along shorelines and grassy drop offs. Jigs and live shinners work great. The exotic species like the clown knife fish, peacock bass and cichlids are abundant in small canals and along sea wall edges. Live boats and small Rapala twitch baits get the drag screaming.

Well that is the report for the past week, remember you can’t catch them for the couch, so get out there and get hooked up! PhlatsInshoreFishing.com, visit us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @ PhlatsInshoreFishing. 5616444371
