The South Florida weather has offered plenty of sunshine and some afternoon thunderstorms to cool down the waters. The fishing has been great.

The calm winds have made site fishing for snook along docks, seawalls and beaches lots of fun for anglers. DOA C.A.L. 3” shad tail #309 on a jig head perfect bait to get the strike. Anglers who like to live bait live greenies or mullet also been great choices to get the rod bent. The snook are starting to gather near deep channels inlets and along the  beach for the upcoming summer spawn.

The tarpon bite has been ok along deeper channels, the juvenile Tarpon have been really active in back days and canals striking DOA Terror Eyz  and Live bait’s free line with the current. The first of the incoming in and the last of outgoing tide has been the best times to target the Silver King.

Freshwater action has been very consistent for peacock bass as they spawn along seawalls and rocky shorelines. Rapala twitchin mullet in bone / chartreuse great color to entice this aggressive fish. Average size of peacocks has range from 2 to 4 pounds with fish reaching up to 6 1/2 pounds. Largemouth bass have been hanging near deeper holes and ledges anglers can use DOA 5 inch finesse worms or live shiners to get a bite.

Well that is a fishing report for the past week. Hope you all enjoyed, remember you can’t catch them from the couch. So get out there and get hooked up. Tight lines!
