As I stood in the shower,I thought of the money I would miss out on if I didn't work on Columbus day, double time and a half. I also thought of time I would miss out on with my boys,if I didn't take this free day off. I took the day off minutes before I was going to leave.

We loaded the boat, grabbed the rods and headed for the river. It was a incredibel day,mid 70s and sunny. The river was runnning low so I was insearch of deeper water because the water temp. is dropping and the fish are moving into their winter mode.

Check the law book but the river is open until the end of November.

We hit a section I had never fished so it took about 30 minutes to find the fish. I had 10 to 15 fish on in 2 hours but I was fishing a circle hook and the fish would come off right at the boat. I dug around my hooks and found a normal one and we boated one. The take was so suttle that it seemed like bottom and before you knew you had a fish it was to late to set.

We then headed to the park for an hour and watched a movie. A very fun day.
