redfish are in Tampa & Sarasota Bay by the hundreds and if you are sitting on the couch, your not going to catch any!! Forty to eighty redfish days have been the average, not including trout, snook, flounder and so on. So, get off your butts and get in your boats!
West Coast redfish have begun their seasonal transition towards wintertime haunts. I am not talking about juvinile redfish in 8 to 12 inch range that flood Bay rivers this time of year. The redfish that I am talking about are still on the flats! Some days they are up close to the shore, while other days they could be over 500 yards out. These slot size reds are traveling with schools of mullet and it might surprise you how far from shore they actually go. I have been putting my clients on these fish for the last few weeks using only artificial's.
