The November fishing has started off with marlin and sailfish action that continues to heat up. The marlin have been here through October and are holding strong through November. Some of the best places have been Corbetena and El Banco. The are between El Morro and Corbetena has been excellent for fast speed lures around 8 knots depending on the wind and waves the days we have been fishing these spots. The water has been dark blue and holding bait for these black and blue marlin. There have aslo been a few stripped marlin mixed in with the blue marlin and black marlin.
The dorados also know as mahi mahi and dolphin are showing up in good numbers. The best place has been in the bay with some live bait. The other larger dorados have been on lures and the mullet we are using while skipping baits at 7 knots .
Tuna action is really kicking off in the bay in all parts of the bay. One day the noth side has been hot and the next the south side is rocking catching 10 to 40 lbs tuna in the bay. The offshore bite is good at Corbetena and EL Banco. Afternoon kite fishing has been productive but not all days. The drift has produced many tuna up to 200 lbs in the last few days. It's not uncommon to run into schools of big tuna when traveling to and from some of these hot spots.
The pargo bite has been good at Corbetena and El banco. The live 10 lbs chorros have been the best bait and we are getting some big snapper trolling these big baits. The Morro and surrounding areas have aslo produced some pargos in good numbers. Best bet last week was Corbetena with live bait. If the Pargo would not bite we would switch over and fish for marlin. No marlin bite no problem just switch to dorados and sailfish.
The action will continue to hold strong until the water starts cooling down in January. The fishing is still rocking here and we have several boats to choose from so come down for some hot fishing , cold beer and unbelievable weather we have between November up until March. The whales are showing up and we also offer whale watching on fishing trips or can be booked separately.
We will be here in Puerto Vallarta fishing charters waiting to take care of your fishing needs here in Mexico.
