Puerto Vallarta fishing has seen great some improvement in the first part of October. The fishing here is in high gear and some big pelagic are biting. The water is still very warm 80 deg. but the fishing is even hotter than the water. The longer offshore trips like 8 to 10 hrs. that we've been taking we've seen some of the big tunas as close as the Corbetena which is also known as The Rock. We've been catching these big tunas with live baits 10 to 5 lb. This is also the good time of the year for the tunas over by Yelapa on some of the six to eight-hour trips. When fishing for these big tunas you have a really good chance to lock into one of the Marlin here in Puerto Vallarta fishing. These Marlin are great Predators it's a little-known fact but they can see a dime from 50 m away. Once they lock into one of the baits they or lures they usually don't miss. There are several favorite spots on the way out there on the longer trips Marieta Islands, El Morra and of course El Banco. We've been seeing some really nice fish along the way like sailfish and mahi-mahi. Mahi-mahi. These guys just love those black Bart lures and have been hitting them like nothing else. It's a little-known fact that most people don't know but big marlin and sailfish are color-blind. We always get lots of requests for people wanting to catch sailfish as it's also the fastest fish in the ocean and can reach speeds of over 75 miles an hour. Not many fishermen know this fact and have caught one

Fishing still holding strong on the south shore and in the same area there have been red snapper.. inside the bay we're still seen a lot of floating wood where you can find mahi-mahi around them when the water is clear and once again for using pitch baits to catch these guys. The Bonita and the Spanish mackerel and along the north shore with some barracuda.

The Puerto Vallarta fishing is fantastic right now. Please take time to come down enjoy some of the great fishing we're having here at the end of October. If you're looking for big game fishing charters here in Puerto Vallarta come to the right place. Will put you on the fish and have a fun day.
