Well we had a halfday trip(originally a fullday) and it was a great day on the water, if you were a duck.LOL We only had about 10 mins that it did not just pour on us. We did scratch out a limit of fish and I think my client today learned the weather bothers the fisherman more than the fish. I also fished today on the trip(at his request) and had a limit as well with him having the big fish on the day. All of the fish boated today were boated on a couple of baits. My client wanted to learn how to crank grass so he used the Jackall Muscle 10+ and 7+ both in shad colors the entire trip. I used the TN70(craw), Rattlehead spinnerbait(white/chart) and also had one on 3/4oz Omega jig(black/blue). After he put his 6th fish in the boat he looked at me and threw in the towel. Despite the rain and wind we really had a good time cutting up and laughing the entire trip(mostly at ourself for being out there).
All fish were found in edge of grass lines(6-12) near sloping drops into deep water. Most of the fish were very "slugish" with the bite being very light. Hope everyone had a safe day and stays dry. The rest of the week will be cold but looking like it might be atleast dry. See you on the water.
God Bless
