I gave my group the option this morning, and they wanted to go, so away we went. It was as rough as I expected, but the fishing was good.

After the ''Thanksgiving Week Storm'', 50+ knot winds, no power for two days, preparing Thanksgiving dinner with a generator, I was ready to get out there, but we knew it was gonna be a handful. My group only had one day they could go, and said they wanted to go if I would take them. It was looking a little shakey at first, but the sick ones healed, and a little before lunchtime we started getting a few bites. First a wahoo, and then a tuna ''cover up''.

As we were about to get the last of five tunas we caught out of that ''wham'', a blue marlin got after the tuna. It was a sight to see, a 500 pounder all lit up. Fortunately, he wasn't successful, and on a day like today, I didn't really want to wrestle with him. Anyway, we had good tuna fishing for the afternoon, and wound up with 15 yellowfins. I keep saying it, but people need to get down here to fish!

Bio: I know some in my line of work that try to sell themselves by listing all of their great fishing achievements and tournament victories, as could I, but my greatest achievements have not necessarily been on my boat, so that is what I would prefer to tell you about. Take a couple of minutes to read about me, and then decide if I'm the guy you want to spend a day on the water with! I was born in Virginia, where my mother pretty much raised me after she and my father split up. I spent my summers with my father, who always had a boat at Hatteras. When I was twelve years old, circumstances forced my father to fish full time, so now, his first love, fishing, had become a means of making a living. I spent each summer with my father, fishing inshore, offshore, and shark fishing trips. I didn't realize that I too had developed a passion for saltwater fishing, especially in the blue water. This went on until high school graduation, in 1984. College was never even a consideration. I had already begun my career, and had been in training early. My childhood summer home was now home for good.
