Redfish in Mosquito Lagoon are starting to school up well in the past couple days. The water level has dropped - perfect for the fish to bunch up.

Today was just another scouting trip and in 2 days the water is dropping by the hour. This signals that the reds are going to settle into their winter patterns with this cold snap.....finally!! We fished 3 areas today all with schooling redfish. The first stop was in less than a foot of water with groups of 3-4 fish tailing. We boated one going 32 inches weighing right at 12 pounds. The second stop got us trout and a couple smaller reds. The third stop had reds everywhere! All different sizes, from rats to over the slot, and schooled up very well. This time of year is my favorite with cool temps and bunched up fish.

Ask me about a BIG discount on a Mosquito Lagoon charter I have going on right now till December 24th!!! Perfect time to get that Christmas gift certificate!
