Most fish have been caught by the trollers from Cedar Point to Vermilion in thirty to forty five foot of water using crank baits during the day. Fish have also been caught by trollers at night around the islands, Huron, and Vermilion. Limited reports that the night fishing from the shoreline and piers off Lakeside, Huron, and Kelleys Island have been spotty, with some excellent catches being reported.
Perch fishing, again when weather has allowed, has been very good with limit catches of jumbo perch being taken.
Hopefully,we will still have some opportunities to fish before the lake freezes. I am already looking forward to Spring to arrive in anticipation of the 2010 fishing season.
