The weather forecast definately had me worried, but we took a chance and stuck our nose out. Utterly flat calm for the crabbing in the early am. Got 12 limits of crab and ran south 19 miles to the rockfishing areas just below Pigeon Point. 140 to 175 feet, limits of rockfish, 4 shaker ling cod. Today, the jigs worked better for the rockfish when tipped with a little squid. 4 shaker lingcod, none that made the 24 inch mark today.
Saturday sounds very likely a 'no-go' with a forecat of 20 to 30 knots and windwaves of 4 to 6 feet. . Sunday may be the same. Dang! Here is a photo with a few happy anglers.
