Fishing in July is great and we fished most of the month at the Sabine Jetties, south end of Sabine Lake, and the channel. We are doing very good at the Sabine Pass jetties with limits of speckled trout to 7 lbs. on glow chart shad saltwater assassin. The rigs and the beach have also been great for big trout early in the morning and for triple tail sight fishing them while spawning on the beach. The flounder fishing picking up on the Louisiana shoreline with some very nice fish to 4 lbs. being caught. Redfish are slow in Sabine Lake as they have not schooled up yet but it should happen in August and September. Bessie Height marsh is holding lots of redfish on the flats in 1-2 ft. of water catching them on live mullet. Trout fishing has been best on an out going tide with live mullet fished with small weight. Black tip sharks on the sabine jetties are being caught to 20 lbs. along with big bull reds being caught on live and cut mullet.

Offshore fishing has been great fishing the wrecks and catching red snapper to 15 lbs. The bigger fish have not showed up but they should during the next 3 months. We are also catching big kingfish and with some bigger ling mixed in. We are looking for a great August and September so book your trips soon. The fishing is going to get better as we get closer to fall. Good Fishing.
