Today i had the pleasure of having a father and son team (Craig and James) onboard Gordy's Dusky. James and Craig where interested in targeting Sailfish. The day started by gathering live bait at Bugs Light just south of Key Biscayne channel. We decided to fish south near Triumph Reef. On the way there we spotted a frigate bird where we proceeded to let lines out. In short time James was hooked up with first sail of the day. After a succesful release we continued south and started our drifts. Current was perfectly pushing us north. We lost a second sail on the out rigger. Shortly after we where hooked up again with a 3rd sail that gave us a nice aerobatic display. In between sails the king mackerel kept the rods bend. At the end of the day we fished in front of Key Biscayne where we saw 2 to 3 sails balling baits at the surface. What a site to see! We ended the day with another sailfish which was tail wrapped. Fortunately we where able to revive for anothere succesful realease. Overall it was a great day. Sunny skies and seas less than 2 feet.
