26/1/09 Good fishing conditions this morning, but my noble angler failed miserably in all departments then come this afternoon the rain came in and it made another small flood. Wind SSW light. Amount of rainfall 14.7mm, max air temperature 11.1c. 27/1/09 Lough Currane was like a milk pond for most of the day so at least we anglers had a good excuse for not catching wild Atlantic Salmon. Amount of rainfall 0.7mm, max air temperature 11.1c. 28/1/09 there were a few boats out but all failed to procure my noble Salmon. Wind SW light to fresh with reasonable cloud cover, max air temperature 11.1c. 29/1/09 just one or two boats out and there isn't any head lines. Wind SSE light to fresh and strong at times with heavy rain on and off throughout the day, amount of rainfall 19.6mm, max air temperature 12.c. 30/1/09 Again we anglers failed in all departments and I can tell you it is driving we fisherman Looney for the lack of fish. Wind S light to fresh and overcast with light rain in the afternoon, amount of rainfall 2.8mm, max air temperature 11.3c. 31/1/09 Just one or two boats out and my Noble salmon was as elusive as ever. Wind light to calm WSW in the afternoon with bright sunshine all day. Amount of rainfall 2.4mm, max air temperature 10.1c and just for the record we had a total of 290.8mm of rainfall for January. 1/2/09 A new month but the same old story so the least said the soonest mended. Wind ENE light to fresh and overcast but there was good sunshine at times, max air temperature8.6c. That is all the news from your gillie and the Waterville fishery. No Spin no Fly's just Facts
