Now we head upstream to Lough Currane, there was a strong Southerly wind and at times veered SE, but this didn't deter anglers heading out, to catch my noble game fish, Mr. Brian Sheil, caught a fine 1.5lbs Sea Trout and 1 Brown Trout, and his Father, Leslie caught a couple of Juniors, all were caught on the troll on the south side of the lake, with their Gillie Mr. Vincent Appleby of www.Salmonandseatrout.com now we head to the north side to the Commeragh, Mr Tom Duggan and his Grandson Mr. Tom Nugent, caught 4 Sea Trout, 3 in the 2lbs class and one Junior, all caught on the fly, with their Gillie Mr. Dominic Mc Gillicuddy, now for a mixture of fly and troll, Mr. Anthony Buckley, caught 5 Sea Trout, 4 on the troll and 1 on the fly, with his gillie Mr. Tom O'Shea and @ tomfishinf@eircom.net staying in the trolling department, Mr. Don Thomson and Mr. Dom Franklin, fishing with their gillie Mr. Neil O'Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com caught two juniors on the troll, and Last but not least Mr. James Henchey of the UK caught 5 Sea trout on the troll, with his gillie Mr. Bob Priestly. Just for the record there were a good few Boats out on Lough Currane and I would be very surprised if they didn't see some action. Now we head out of Laugh Currane, and up to the Commeragh River, Cork Anglers caught four Sea Trout, in the 2 to 3lbs class, on the fly, Staying with the Commeragh, Mr. Mike Teahan of Waterville caught a grilse. Wind W then veered SW late this afternoon, bright and sunny, but there was reasonable cloud cover at times, amount of rainfall 0.1mm, max air temperature 18.1c.8/7/10 On the early shift, a client, fishing with his Gillie Mr Terence Wharton Jnr, caught two Sea trout and finished the morning off with a fine Grilse. Just for the record there were a few boats this evening, and at present, there is no reports of any real rod benders, news just in, in the hired out boat department, Mr Phil Hawker, caught a fine 6lbs Grilse on the fly and finished the day off with a few Juniors and Mr Chris Wallace, also fishing in a hired out boat, caught a few Juniors, both anglers were fishing out of www.Lakelandshouse.com Wind SE and then veered SW once the rain had gone through, come 3pm the heavens opened and I can tell you it wasn't long before there was white water coming down the mountain, amount of rainfall 16.7mm, max air temperature 16.7c. 9/7/10 Mr. C Clifton, caught a 7lbs Grilse on the fly on the famous Butler Pool, now we head upstream to Lough Currane, Local angler Mr. Tony O'Sullivan, caught 3 Juniors on the troll on the south side of the lake, also in good form in the trolling department were Dutch clients fishing with their Gillie Mr. Kevin Brain of the Waterville Angling Centre and of www.kbfishingireland.com caught 6 Sea Trout up to 1.5lbs. In the fly department, the Prince, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Vincent O'Sullivan and of www.Vincentsfishing.com caught a 3lbs Sea Trout, staying with the fly, a Guest fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O'Shea and @ tomfishing@eircom.net caught 1 junior. On the water front the same as yesterday. Now we head across the valley to the River Inny, Local Gillie Mr. Terence Wharton Jnr, caught 1 Salmon and just for the record there was a good spate coming down the Commeragh and there a good few Anglers manipulating early this morning and at present there is no reports of any rod benders, but you can be sure there were a few fish caught?.
