26/4/10 All quiet on the SW front, wind SSW light with very good cloud cover, max air temperature 15.6c. 27/4/10 Lough Currane was at a stand still, thanks to a strong SE wind blowing across the Lake, even though one or two boats did venture out first thing this morning, it wasn't long before they headed for the shore line. Wind as already stated. Amount of rainfall 20.5mm, max air temperature 13.2c. 28/4/10 Lough Currane was on the wild side this morning but fishable, and there was a 7lbs Salmon caught on the troll on the south side in Copal by Guests fishing with their Gillie Mr. Brod O'Sullivan of Stella Maris Guesthouse and for the rest of we anglers the least said the soonest mended. Wind SSE fresh to strong this morning but died down this afternoon to light to fresh, amount of rainfall 0.3mm, max air temperature 14.2c. 29/4/10 Lough Currane saw some fine action in the Salmon department, first in the striking zone with a 7.5lbs Salmon caught on the troll were guests fishing with their Gillie Mr. Brod O'Sullivan of Stella Maris Guesthouse, next in line with a 9lbs Salmon caught on the troll were Ted and Ildko Weber fishing with their Gillie Mr. Frank Donnelly of www.Lakelandshouse.com and they also hooked a Salmon on the fly but the rascal lives to fight another day, and last but not least Was Heinz Strappmen of Germany, with a fine fresh 10lbs Salmon caught on the troll, and just for the record Heinz was in a hired out boat from www.Lakelandshoues.com Wind SW then veered WSW fresh with reasonable cloud cover with light showers coming in this evening, amount of rainfall 0.6mm, max air temperature 13.9c. 30/4/10 There was one 9lbs salmon caught by Mr, Gerry O'Connor fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O'Shea and @ tomfishing@eircom.net Wind WNW light to fresh with reasonable cloud cover, amount of rainfall 3.1mm, max air temperature 13.4c, the total rainfall for the month of February 101.7mm. 1/5/10 The Bank holiday weekend got off to a good start, with two Salmon caught, first in the striking zone was Mr. Gerry O'Connor, with a fine 9lbs Salmon caught on the troll with his Gillie Mr. Tom O'Shea and @ tomfishing@eircom.net also in good form was Mr. Gerry O'Sullivan, who also caught a 9lbs Salmon caught on the troll and in the Seatrout department Mr. Tony O'Sullivan caught a 4lbs Seatrout. Wind N fresh with the odd light shower, max air temperature 12.6c. 2/5/10 All quiet on the SW front in all departments. Wind the same as yesterday, amount of rainfall 0.7mm, max air temperature 11.7c. That is your ration from your Gillie/Guide and the Waterville Fishery. No Spin No Fly's just Facts.
