7/6/10 There was a small flood this morning, which was no harm, on the Sea trout front, I will start in the trolling department, where a Guest caught a fine 2lbs Seatrout, with his gillie Mr. Frank Donnelly and of www.Lakelandshouse.com now to the fly department, Mr. Rob Wasmuth of the UK caught three fine Sea Trout all ranging in the 4 to 5lbs class. Wind S light to calm then veered SW light, with light misty rain this morning until about midday, then the sun broke through which made for a reasonable days fishing, mind you other anglers would beg to differ but as Rob's Gillie Mr. Michael O'Sullivan of Waterville Boats and @ Watervilleboats@gmail.com said, join the professionals. Amount of rainfall 18.6mm, max air temperature 18.5c. 8/6/10 Mr. frank Donnelly of www.Lakelandshouse.com reported that he and his guests lost two Salmon on the troll, in the Seatrout department, Mr. Danny Wilsher of the UK caught a 4lbs Seatrout on the fly with his Gillie Mr. Michael O'Sullivan of Waterville Boats and @ Watervilleboats@gmail.com Now to the poaching department, I was reading on www.Loughcurrane.com our manger Mr. Trevor Stafford is reporting that on Lough Derriana, a guest fishing with his Gillie Mr. Roger Baker caught a fine Sea trout in the 2lbs class and two Brown Trout up to 1.75lbs. wind NE light to fresh with reasonable cloud cover., max air temperature 17.4c. 9/6/10 the wind may be in the east but at least some anglers did have a bit of a feast, I start in the Salmon department, Mr. terry O'Connor, caught a lightening fresh 5lbs grilse on the troll fishing with his gillie Mr. Brod O'Sullivan of Stella Maris Guest House Waterville. In the Seatrout department, Mr. Martin Roberts, fishing in a hired out boat from www.Lakelandshouse.com caught a fine 3lbs Seatrout which he sportingly put back, and finished the day off with a fine 7lbs specimen Seatrout this evening, staying in the Seatrout department Mr. Danny Wilsker caught a fine 3lbs Seatrout on the fly with his Gillie Mr. Michael O'Sullivan of Waterville Boats and @ Watervilleboats@gmail.com also a guest caught a Seatrout in the 2lbs class with his Gillie Mr. Vincent O'Sullivan and of www.Vincentsfishing.com Wind NNE light to fresh and overcast with the odd light shower., amount of rainfall 0.7mm, max air temperature 16.2c. 10/6/10 Straight to the Seatrout department, Mr. Terry O'Connor caught two Seatrout in the 2 to 3 lbs class on the troll with his gillie Mr. Brod O'Sullivan, staying in the trolling department, a French Guest caught a fine 2lbs Seatrout on the troll with his Gillie Mr. Tom O'Shea and @ tomfishing@eircom.net now to the fly department, Mr Danny Wilsker caught a 2.5 Seatrout on the drift in a hired out boat from Waterville Boats. Max air temperature 17.7c. 11/6/10 Straight to the salmon department and those professionals were at it again, yes you have it Mr Rob Wasmuth of the UK and Waterville, caught two grilse on the fly, Rob was fishing with his Gillie Mr. Michael O'Sullivan of Waterville boats, now to the trolling department where Mr Bob Priestly caught a grilse, and last but least Mr. Brod O'Sullivan also caught a fine Grilse on the troll. On the Sea trout front no reports of any real rod benders. Wind NNE fresh to strong at times with bright sunshine for most of the day, max air temperature 16.6c. 12/6/10 It's the early Angler that catches my Noble gentlemen the Grilse, first in the striking zone with a 5.5lbs Grilse caught on the troll, was Mr. Mike O'Dwyer, and staying in the grilse department there was a fine Grilse caught by that great fishing partnership of Mr. Dan Sugrue and Mr. Brod O'Sullivan, and just for the record both fish were caught before 9AM, on the late shift Mr. Bob Priestly also caught a fine 5lbs Grilse on the troll. Wind N light to fresh and got quite strong in the deadly hour, between 3 and 4pm with bright sunshine for most of the day, max air temperature 15.8c. 13/6/10 Lough Currane was on the wild side, even though one could fish, but alas there are no reports of any catches on the day shift, but it was a different story on the evening shift, Mr. John Young of the UK and Waterville caught a fine 3lbs Sea Trout on the fly. Wind NW then veered N fresh to strong with heavy showers throughout the day, amount of rainfall 1.9mm, max air temperature 16.0c.That is your ration for this week, from your Gillie/Guide and the Waterville Fishery.
