1/2/11 All quiet on the SW front after yesterday's first salmon of the season. Wind W then veered SW light to fresh, with reasonable cloud cover. Max air temperature 12c. 2/2/11 Lough Currane was on the wild side with a strong SW wind, with heavy showers blowing down the Lake. Local Gillie Mr. Bob Priestly reported to me that he caught 3 Kelts before he headed home. Amount of rainfall 4.9mm, max air temperature 11.8c. 3/2/11 Lough was at a stand still with gale force winds from the SW or put it this way it was a day for the high stool. Amount of rainfall 4.4mm, max air temperature 11.9c.4/2/11 Another wild day on Lough Currane, and if there were any anglers pontificating good luck to them. Wind SW fresh to strong. Amount of rainfall 0.1mm, max air temperature 13.3c. 5/2/11The same as yesterday on all fronts, except there was a lot more rain, amount of rainfall 25.0 mm, max air temperature 13.2c. 6/2/11 Rough yesterday and calm today with heavy rain this afternoon, mount of rainfall 30.4mm, max air temperature 12.0c on the Salmon front the same result, Anglers 0 my noble Salmon won the day.
