The fishing in San Diego this August and September has been great! We haven't seen this kind of action here in quite a few years. The offshore scene has been full of great patty fishing with loads of Yellowtail and Dorado here locally. Just to the south the patties have been full of Yellowfin, Bluefin, and Albacore Tuna! Our local shark fishing did slow a bit with all that food offshore, although it is coming on now. I have been avoiding the crowds by fishing the local kelp beds where the Calico bass fishing has been nothing short of epic! You just cant miss this year and we still have plenty of time to get out there and fish. With the kids back in school now the crowds are getting lighter and the fishing is still great. I am adding a few photos from the last couple of trips.
