Water Temperature: 78

Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Water is 8.21ft low and has been hovering at that level for the past month or so which is repositioning the location the Largemouth quite a bit. The water temps are in the mid to high 70's. Wind was strong enough for para-sailing at unknown mph'age LOL. It was brisk this morning with temps in the 50's at first light and I thought we would have a better than average day but the $*(#$($ wind wasn't any help. The water clarity is stained by my standards (3ft tops) and is stained primarily due to the $*($* wind blowing for the last 2 days. Ok enough about the wind.

The senko bite is getting stronger and stronger every week. Most of the fish are small keepers with a few decent fish in the mix. I'm pretty much beating them in the head with the senko to make it work. It's really the best thing I have found for numbers unless you like draggin wurms (not my cup of tea no thanks). There really wasn't much pattern wise as the fish were in areas with really no common denominator that I could find. Usually a 50 yd stretch held fish then for 30 minutes you wouldn't get a bite then you'd get back into them. So the run and shoot offense worked best to find the fish. I did manage to throw the swimbait just a "little" :). OOPS I hate it when that happens LOL. :). She hit at 3:30pm if that helps and this is my 11th largemouth over 5lbs out of Toona this year on the swim bait.

Some guys on the Allatoona forum wanted me to do a seminar on a multitude of topics pertaining to fishing Allatoona. So I decided to open it up to the public and rent out the Red Top Lodge banquet room. The seminar will be on Oct 7th (Saturday) from 4-8 (arrive 3:30ish). Topics will be Swimbaits on Allatoona, Sonar Interpretation, dropshot, Patterning Largemouth on Toona just to name a few to help everyone get ready for the fall/winter bite. Lots of prizes and donations will be given away. Click on the link for more info and directions to the banquet room.

I have over 80 Lucky Craft baits to hand out, 24lbs of Yamamoto Plastics, Mini Me Spinnerbaits from SOB Lures, Fluorocarbon line from Triple Fish and a box from Bass Stalker Jigs as FREE handouts at the seminar with more in the works.

Also, I have 3 high dollar swimbaits to raffle off with half of the proceeds going towards Mike Allen's aka Tr21pd wife Kidney transplant fund. I'll have raffle tickets at the seminar if anyone is interested. Click on the link below for more info on the seminar. Any questions email me at mbucca@comcast.net
