Clients and I have been catching fish on a variety of baits ranging from a texas rig to an a-rig, swimbaits and crankbaits and spinnerbaits to senkos and in depths from 2 to 14 feet of water. Everyday is different. Some days we do best is 2 feet of water using a senko and the next we will catch them in 12 to 14 feet on a-rigs and crankbaits and everyday we catch them on a different place and were we caught them on the day before we can't get a bite the next day. The one thing that is the same is by them end of the day we have found them, caught them and took a picture of them and have released them.
The weather this week has dropped the numbers down from 50 to 60 to 20 to 30 but the size has been good. Also the water temp before the first cold front was around 70 and after this second cold front it has been around 63 to 65 in the mornings and rising to the mid 60's and close to 70 in ceartain areas in the afternoons if the sun has been shinning.
I have seen some shad spawning in a few areas also so in the next few weeks it should be wide open.
Good Luck and I have days open if anyone wants to get out. Just call or email me to set your day up.
