What a great week of enjoyable customers, great summer weather, beautiful lake conditions and consistant King Salmon fishing. My four charter boats spread out to try different areas and with the amount of baitfish near shore the hungry Kings moved in and were they on the feed! We fished 20 to 40 feet of water and as other boats were powering through the fish heading for deep water offshore we were getting multiple hookups of Kings in the 8 to 18 pound range. These fish are extremely aggresive in the cold 50 degree water. This time of year these fish move around with the feed and I'm sure eventually will head out to deeper water so staying on them came be tricky, but with four boats we can cover some water. Pro-Troll E-Chip flashers in either the mountain dew color or the white cracked ice glow with a green howie fly worked very good on the downriggers. Stinger or fishlander spoons in glow green or orange on the dipsy divers took some nice fish too. This fishing should even get better as we roll into June. Good luck on the water!
