the conditions on lake erie ,were ideal.a good west wind and clear water. numa marengo, and his fishing partner greg, from south france.

numa and greg never caught a smallmouth bass before ,that was going to change .casting in about 34 ft of water and working the bait back to the boat ,was producing big smallies. numa's third cast with a green pumpkin prowler tube .produced a 7.2 pound lake erie slob . numa also boated several fish in the low to mid five lb range .greg also was catching fish ,his biggest ,5.10 lb fish . with the big fish on numa and greg had a great time on the water . verticle jigging berkeley gulp leeches ,(drop shoting them)also was a great pattern. black and olive was the leech color. look for deep water with isolated rock piles .this will hold pre and post spawn fish . they are great staging areas ,for the bigger fish to eat and rest after or before the spawn .bigger fish will move in and out off a deep area with isolated rock piles all day long .

hummin birds 3d side view graph .is the ticket for locating this kind off deep water srtucture
