Sunday I took the day off and went fishing by myself. Primary goal was to scout for new locations, good tip for everyone as we all do the same thing and fish areas over and over again where we had success. Take time and try new locations and tactics. I ran to the East side of Tampa Bay working the mangrove shorelines that I had not ried prior. In thirty minutes I landed 3 redfish 27.5", 28.5" and 31". Water temperatures cooled several degrees from Saturday's rains and while the water was a little murky the fish were aggressive. I moved to the flats and caught Trout, Ladyfish and Jacks all on DOA Glo shrimp. I then moved to the ship channel and it did not take long to find the Mackerel attacking bait, tossing Clark Silver spoons into the frenzy resulted in instant hookups. I then decided to drop threadfins on a hump I located in 45' of water and caught a 21" Gag grouper. I was alone so forgive the quality of the pictures posted.
